PDC Unicorn Development Tour 1

Josh competed in the first two events of the PDC Unicorn Development Tour in Wigan, In the first event Josh kicked off the day with a terrific performance as he defeated Sam Hewson 4-2, In the Second Round he faced Jordan Boyce in a game which Josh dominated throughout as he cruised to a 4-1 victory.

In round three, The Gravesend star faced Ryan Hoggarth and it was another vintage performance from Payne as he whitewashed Hoggarth booking his place in the last 32.

The Last 32 came and Josh faced an inform opponent in Ted Evetts, he couldn’t really get going and he lost out to Evetts 4-1.

In the second event Payne reached the Last 32 again after some terrific performances as he defeated James Carroll 4-0, Pascal Herwig 4-1, he defeated a steady player in Charlie Beaumont in the board final to set up a last 32 clash with Sam Head.

In his last 32 match with Sam Head, Josh got off to a perfect start as he raced into a 3-1 lead. However somehow Head managed to win three legs on the spin to defeat Josh 4-3.

On Sunday there are two more events for Josh to participate in, we are confident ahead of those two events as Josh played some great games today, many positives to take from the day.
