Josh participated in Players Championship events 13 & 14 in Wigan on Saturday and Sunday.
In event 13, Josh came up against Daryl Gurney in the opening round. Unfortunately for Josh he was edged out 6-3 by the Northern Irishman. But the Kent ace took the positives from that performance into event 14 on Sunday afternoon. He returned to winning ways after a 6-2 win over Ryan Meikle not just dismantling Meikle but completing a very impressive performance both on his scoring power but his finishing was world class.
In round two, Josh faced a tough opponent in Brendan Dolan, Josh had prepared well for this one, and produced another delightful display to see off the Northern Irishman 6-1 producing more world class tungsten. In the last 32 Josh came up against the World number 13 Ian White, Josh unfortunately lost out 6-2 in that one. There are a lot of positives for Josh to take out of the weekend’s play as he swept aside some quality opposition and to lose to the likes of Gurney and White is nothing to be disheartened about especially as White went all the way to the final. Its onto the next event for the Kent superstar.
