Josh booked his place in the second round tomorrow after a 6-5 win over Mark Walsh in which a greatly contested match.

Josh opened up the match with a 15 darter as he took out 78 on the bulls-eye, Walsh replied with a 15 darter of his own taking out 102 to level at 1-1 with Josh waiting to pounce on 52.

The third leg was a superb leg, Walsh left D12 after 12 darts, Josh hit a 177 to leave D12 after 12 darts but Walsh took out D12 with his first dart to lead 2-1.

Josh replied immediately with a 14 dart leg with two 140s and a 137 in the leg as he took out D12 to level at 2-2.

Walsh regained the lead after taking out 25 with Josh waiting on 100 to make it 3-2 at the break.

Josh responded as he levelled the match at 3-3 after taking out 96.

Walsh once again took the lead on his own throw as he had a 16 darter as he took out Tops just after Josh missed a dart at D19 to make it 4-3.

Josh once again levelled the match at 4-4 after Walsh missed a dart at D10 and Josh took out D6.

Walsh held his throw in the ninth leg and took a 5-4 lead after taking out D8 with Josh waiting on 55.

Josh took the game to a deciding leg after a superb 14 darter taking out D10 for a 80 finish.

And what happened next was truly sensational as Josh pulled out the best leg of the match – a 13 darter after he kicked off the leg with a maximum and took out D16 to book his place in Round Two as he will face Berry van Peer tomorrow afternoon on stage two LIVE on ITV4.
